Nursing was not my favorite thing at first. Wait. First, labor and delivery ...It was the hardest and most painful thing I've ever endured and because of that, I'm determined (I already was, but even more so now!) that I can pretty much do anything. I conquered labor and delivery without the help of painkilling drugs or even an IV. All natural.
So back to nursing not being my favorite.. if hurt like heck (yes, blisters on the nipples!) and I produced enough and then not enough for my child to survive. It was just difficult to get it all figured out and we had to supplement with formula for him.
As a year has now passed (enjoying each day and embracing it all) nursing has developed into a beautiful thing! I know this baby is mine.. his lily white skin! My little cherub of an angel and best bud. My little booboo bear. There two things, no, there are three things I love about nursing:
1. The nourishment for growth and amazing health benefits for baby (& Momma).
2. The feeling of skin-to-skin softness and naked goodness (and bonding hormones!!!!).
3. The smell, oh the incredible smell of a baby's breath who nurses. It melts me. I just love that smell.

It is now my favorite thing. 💕❤️
