Yesterday I had the honor to attend a bridal shower for dear Lauren! I've known this sweet soul since she was 7 or 8 and I can't believe how fast the years have gone. We've had some fun adventures along the way and I've been the "big sister" role throughout the years. Lauren is getting married and it was such a special shower to be part of. It's always encouraging to get advice from women who have been married (27-43 years) a long time! In two days, my Jeff and I will celebrate three "glorious" years (as he told me this morning!). So surrounded by these women (whom most, I did not know), it was still so encouraging to hear the advice they gave Lauren. There's something about a group of women. Honestly. Like the red tent we said.. a place to gather and share together and be real, honest, encouraging and let's be frank: emotional!
I totally got emotional.. maybe because I was Thinking back on my bridal showers that were some of the best moments in my life! Or, because I love my husband so and continue to fall in love with him. And/or, I'm just an emotional woman. Ha! That's fine. And true.

Anyways, another really special thing was that these women were all still married! Not something that you see everyday.
As I left, I walked away so encouraged! Love really is a beautiful thing and brings so many people together.
