This morning I was online and I saw a live video feed pop-up and I decided to watch. I'm so glad I did. There were real-life, legendary heroes being honored for their selfless service to our country. I sat, watched, and cried. It was a reminder of my grandfathers and their service to our beautiful land of the free and home of the brave. I'm so lucky to have the heritage that I do.

The Friends of the National World War II Memorial held a ceremony and wreath presentation at the National World War II Memorial to mark the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Iwo Jima. It was beautiful.

Thank you to these brave combat veterans.
